Description

The Livewire has proven itself as a truly versatile, wake-style machine.  Alex Pastor, Bruna Kajiya and Bas Koole have given more feedback to develop the range for the ultimate ride, by refining the flex and response for 2014 as well as the introduction of our unique Carbon Torsion Control to the Livewire. Working closely with Alex Pastor on his signature 140, the new rail and tip channel configuration enhances directional drive along with a tapered ABS rail, increasing thickness in the center of the rail for boot specific durability.

This wake-style and freestyle board is optimal for maximum pop and upwind performance with a flatter edge while the center rocker is increased for riding and landing comfortable during powered tricks.  Shipped standard with AFT Teams and compatible with most modern bindings with a 6 inch spread.

  • 2014 Progressive Rocker

    2014 Progressive Rocker

The Progressive Dual Rocker featured on the Livewire and Livewire Team, offers a unique rocker, where smaller sizes run a slightly flatter rocker to enhance acceleration. While larger sizes feature an increased rocker improving the performance for boot riding. The outer rail features a flatter rocker for improved edging, upwind and light-wind performance, while the higher rocker center section improves the loading for wake-style riding.

  • 2014 FMS Rating

    2014 FMS Rating

Introducing the FMS rating 4 years ago, Airush was the first brand to quantify how much a twin-tip flexes. Instead of the good old “feel” test, which can be very deceptive due to the length of the overall stiffness. FMS takes into account the boards length, deflection and lower rating, indicating a softer board. Softer boards are more suited to freeride, while stiffer boards are more suited to Freestyle.

    2014 BIO TECH CORE

The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a vertical wood core sandwich comprising of a dual density Balsa and Poplar core with ABS rail and tips. The higher density poplar stringer creates a hyper responsive center section while the outer balsa section minimizes the weight. Our wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile tri axial laminate for all-round performance and durability.
