The Airush Lithium Zero breaks the barriers of lightwind riding on a LEI kite. The Zero is extremely light at 3.4 KGs making it stable to fly and manoeuvre in such lightwinds. At 3.4 kgs, the 18m Zero weighs about the same as your average 10m kite.
All Airush kites feature the Hardcore Construction, a focus and commitment to structural integrity.
- This includes a 4 piece strut with bomb proof double sandwich centre seam to reduce the amount of stitching points for reduce wear as well as increased rigidity.
- A Leading Edge connection seam with a slick 19mm soft webbing reinforcement to handle harder crashes.
- Increased mark cloth sections at the front of all canopy seams at the leading edge to stop stitching and seam wear points.
Airush revolutionizes the way kites are made with the all-new Aramid Load Frame technology. Aramid, found in bulletproof vests, is strategically placed throughout the kite to create a frame that improves the kites structure and response. This construction absorbs impact throughout the canopy, minimizes stretch and reduces the area between each stitch point, further increasing the strength of the kite. Not only does the frame create a solid structure but also increases performance. The Aramid Load Frame makes a more solid link throughout the entire kite, which enhances the response from rider to kite.
In its first year, the Aramid Load Frame is featured on the Razor Team and the Wave. Two ranges that see the most abuse and beating from our riders, Airush find it absolutely necessary to implement this construction in these kites to maximize the longevity.
Featured on all the 2013 Airush Kites, with the exception of the Razor, the V Bridle system adds not only to the safety benefits, but also contributes significantly to the feeling and performance of the kites. The positioning of the bridle attachment points on the LE of the kite combined with the V pulleys, give a very smooth and responsive depower this allows for steering that is light, but direct enough to feel where your kite is. This also enables the kite to be steered and controllable when the kite is completely depowered.
The Airush Razor and Razor Team feature the 5th Line design. The 5th line allows for a simple, safe and effective support system. Ideal for thinner leading edge and a C-shape arc, the 5th line maximizes the performance of the Razor design without adding complexity of bridles.
The C-kite shape has been regarded as one of the most high performance kite designs to date. Featuring forward flying for upwind ability, immense pop and slack for freestyle/wakestyle maneuvers, and the most direct feel from the bar. Airush has taken these characteristics of the C-kite and added the demands of the New School rider who requires a wider wind range, customizable tuning and greater stability.
The Supported Leading Edge C-Kite, or SL-C, is dedicated to riders who want everything from 4-line unhooked performance to high depower. The SL-C concept gives a C shape arc, which delivers great turning and direct response in combination with Support Leading Edge range and relaunching characteristics. The SL-C gives the benefits of both worlds in one concept.
The Delta Hybrid design in conjunction with the V3 bridle gives the Airush kite a whole new meaning to performance and feeling. Displaying direct and pivotal turning, the Delta Hybrid insures a great balance of speed and response. Due to the swept wing tips and profile the Delta Hybrid has instant relaunch capabilities making this shape ideal for all-around riding.
New for 2013, the Low Y System allows for single front line flag out system. Providing a safe way of killing the power of your kite. Not only improving safety, the Low Y increases the angle of the front lines, which avoids unnecessary pinching or folding of the kite. By doing so, the wingtips become looser and move more independently, greatly increasing the maneuverability, turning speed and response of the kite.
Added to the 2013 Airush control bar range, the all-new Airush Soft Touch is a durable rubber molding encasing the bar ends. With a softer bar end, the Soft Touch prevents surfboard dings, adds an element of safety and comfort only available on the 2013 Airush control bar.
All new on the 2013 Smartbar 4 and Analog Bar is the redesigned bar end, packed with updates to make your Airush bar even better! The 2013 bar end features Soft Touch – a PU coated casing which provides protection for riders and their boards – as well as the built-in bar adjuster which gives an extra 3.5cm of quick adjustment on both sides. The structure of the 2013 bar end also increases the strength of the entire piece, resulting in a more reliable, durable part.
Making the Airush one of a kind, the new Smartbar 4 features a truly unique system. With a few simple and quick changes between the all-new bar ends and the exclusive pin adjustment system, the Airush Smartbar 4 gives the rider the option of a 45-52-55–62 length bar. An industry first, the Airush Smartbar 4 can be used on all Airush inflatable kites from our biggest race kite to our smallest freeride kite.
